Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Raiders of the Lost Ark achieves what a very limited number of Hollywood movies have been able to pull off before or since its release – there really is something for everyone. There is action, adventure, romance, comedy, drama, nostalgia, great set pieces and amazing location shots. The “violence” in the movie is tastefully done, suitable for both kids and adults to equally enjoy and find satisfying.
Even after 30+ years since its inception, it holds up as a well-crafted, timeless gem. The story is solid, the dialogue and acting is superb, the set-pieces are exciting – you leave the movie feeling exhilarated and wanting more.
